How do I apply my retinoid?

(Caution: this product is a combination of retinoid, a fade cream, and a steroid. Due to the steroid, you may only use it for 4 to 6 months.)

This topical medication helps with brown spots, sun damage, pore size and fine lines and wrinkling.

· Use this product at bedtime. Gently cleanse your face before applying.
· Use only a pea sized amount of the medication. You can mix the product with a gentle moisturizer or you may apply moisturizer prior to application of mediation.
· Spread the product evenly over your face. Avoid or use sparingly over the more sensitive areas around the eyes, nose and corners of your mouth. Never apply to your eyelids.
· In the morning, gently cleanse your face and use a moisturizing sunscreen prior to applying any make up or cosmetics. The product can make you more sun sensitive.
· Start slowly once or twice a week and gradually increase to nightly use. The goal is to use nightly, however the medications are strong and using them even three times per week can be beneficial.
· You can expect some dryness and flaking but your skin should not be red and irritated.
· Use a non-comedogenic moisturizer such as Cerave, Cetaphil, or Neutrogena as needed to help with the dryness.
· Stop the medication if you become pregnant.
· Be cautious with waxing (upper lip; eyebrows) when using a retinoid. Stop applying the medication 5 days prior to waxing.
· Be patient! It may take 3 months or longer before you notice improvement.
