This is a condition whereby the hair shaft, having grown a few millimeters on the skin surface, curls and re-enters the skin. Upon re-entrance, the immune system recognized the hair as foreign, subsequently forming an inflammatory response in the form of a pimple, bump, and eventually keloid scar. Razor bumps can appear on any demographic, but are most common in African American males.

Topical antibiotics, systemic antibiotics, shaving tips, topical low-potency corticosteroids, intralesional corticosteroids
